Flying with the Young Eagles

EAA Chapter One has a vibrant Young Eagles program where our dedicated volunteers educate and fly up to 50 new Young Eagles per month at Flabob Airport in Riverside, CA. Children learn the basics of flight, take a pre-flight check of an airplane and then it’s time to take to the sky and view the Earth from a totally different perspective!

there is an excellent video of the El Centro Young Eagle event last weekend (Jan 17th, 2016). To view the video click the El Centro YE tab on the right.

If you would like to arrange for your child or children to take their first flight in an airplane, you may e-mail Roberta Phillips or call (951) 847-5474. To date, we have flown 309 Young eagles.

If you would like to volunteer for our program, call a Chapter One board member on the contacts page..

Whether a volunteer or prospective Young Eagle, you’re in for the experience of a lifetime!

EAA Young Eagles Web site hosts a live Webchat

The EAA Young Eagles Web site hosts a live Webchat the third Wednesday of every month with various aviation celebrities. We are wondering if you would be willing to post information about these web chats on your Chapter’s Web site.

The Webchat lasts one hour and takes place between 7 and 8 p.m. Central Time. Please visit http://www.youngeagles.org/webchat/ for more information.

This hour of discussion is enjoyed by aviation enthusiasts — both young and old — as they are able to ask questions and receive live answers.
