The Stinson project is an effort of the Wathen Foundation to further the education of youth. The goals of the project are for the young peole to learn the following:

• Learn to use tools safely and properly.
• Learn the skills necessary to maintain an aircraft by the actual reconstruction of a ventage aircraft.
• Learn to be a responsible pilot.
• Learn to give back to the community and realize that it enriches both their lives and the community.

The project is loosely affiliated with EAA Chapter 1 in that all the participants of the project have been to the EAA sponsored Air Academy and been a Young Eagle.
